About The Position

Zions Bank’s Retail Support department consists of traveling tellers and bankers who support branches across their geographical area when employees are absent. This role primarily supports branches in the Salt Lake Valley and Summit County, with occasional assignments as far north as Centerville/Bountiful, as far south as Draper/Riverton, and as far west as Tooele and Magna. Mileage reimbursement is provided when an employee travels more than 25 miles round trip from home. The position offers the opportunity to develop banking skills and build professional connections while helping branches meet strategic objectives and carry out Zions Bank’s vision. Minimum pay is $17 per hour. Employees averaging over 20 hours per week may be eligible for employee benefits, subject to standard eligibility rules.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
Solid balancing and customer service skills.
Ability to cross-sell bank products based on client needs.

Responsibilities

Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
Identify and address client needs by providing services such as opening accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
Resolve client problems through direct action or referral to other branch or bank resources.
Identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities by exploring client needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Travel to and support Zions Bank branches throughout the assigned geographical area when coverage is needed.
