About The Position

Zions Bank’s Retail Support department employs traveling tellers and bankers who support branches across their geographical area when branch staff are absent. This role primarily supports branches in the Western Salt Lake and Tooele County area, with occasional assignments as far north as Centerville/Bountiful, east to Park City, Kamas, and Coalville, and south to Draper and Riverton. Mileage reimbursement is provided when travel exceeds 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home. The position provides experience in banking fundamentals and networking opportunities while helping branches fulfill strategic objectives and carry out Zions Bank’s vision. The minimum pay is $17 per hour. Employees averaging over 20 hours per week may be eligible for benefits under the bank’s standard eligibility rules.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
Solid balancing and customer service skills.
Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record.
Identify and address clients’ needs by providing services such as opening accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
Resolve client problems through direct personal action or referral to another branch or bank resource.
Identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities by exploring clients’ needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
