About The Position

Zions Bank’s Retail Support department provides traveling tellers and bankers to support branches across a geographical area when employees are absent. This position primarily supports branches in Western Salt Lake and Tooele County, with occasional assignments as far north as Centerville/Bountiful, east as Park City, Kamas, and Coalville, and south as Draper and Riverton. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel exceeding 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home. The Traveling Teller accurately processes debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record. The role addresses client needs through a variety of banking services, resolves problems directly or by referral, and identifies opportunities to cross-sell products based on client needs. The position offers experience in banking fundamentals and opportunities to network. Minimum pay is $17 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
Solid balancing and customer service skills.
Ability to cross-sell bank products based on client needs.

Responsibilities

Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain an acceptable balancing record.
Identify and address clients’ needs by providing services such as opening accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, transferring money, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
Resolve client problems through direct action or referral to other branch or bank resources.
Identify and maximize cross-sell opportunities by exploring client needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
