About The Position

Heartland Credit Union is hiring two full-time Traveling Tellers to serve its Wichita-area branches. The teller is assigned to a branch each day according to staffing needs and travels frequently among branches in Hutchinson, Haven, Newton, and Wichita. The home branch will be at either 3777 N Maize Rd or 2191 N Rock Rd in Wichita. This customer-service and sales-oriented role offers training and an opportunity to gain experience in financial services.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Proficient with technology and a variety of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Well organized and attentive to detail.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move 30 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service and cash handling experience preferred.
• Experience working in a financial institution is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers entering the branch, direct them to the appropriate staff member, and assist with ATM usage, coin counting machines, safety deposit boxes, and other branch services.
• Provide customer service while processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier’s checks, money orders, and cash advances.
• Verify cash totals and balance daily transactions.
• Educate credit union members about products and services.
• Balance ATM machines, coin counters, and cash dispensing or recycling machines accurately and promptly.
• Ensure members are served promptly and professionally.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Provide superior service to members and proactively support and advance Heartland Credit Union’s brand platform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
