About The Position

Zions Bank’s Retail Support department provides traveling tellers and bankers to support branches throughout their geographical area when employees are absent. This position primarily supports branches in the Delta/Fillmore area and offers experience in banking fundamentals and networking opportunities. Mileage reimbursement is provided when travel exceeds 25 miles round trip from the employee’s home. Minimum pay is $17 per hour. The Traveling Teller accurately processes debit and credit transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures while maintaining an acceptable balancing record. The role also provides a range of client services, resolves client problems, identifies cross-selling opportunities, and performs other duties as assigned. Employees averaging more than 20 hours per week may be eligible for Zions Bank employee benefits under standard eligibility rules.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Some cashiering, customer service, balancing, or other related experience.
Basic knowledge of math, cashiering, balancing, debits, credits, bank products, and/or banking.
Solid balancing and customer service skills.
Ability to cross-sell bank products based on clients’ needs.

Responsibilities

Accurately process debit and credit transactions in compliance with established policies and procedures.
Maintain an acceptable balancing record.
Identify and address clients’ needs by providing services such as opening new accounts, issuing counter checks, performing account maintenance, issuing or activating ATM cards, conducting money transfers, ordering checks, and receiving loan payments.
Resolve client problems through direct action or referral to another branch or bank resource.
Identify and maximize cross-selling opportunities by exploring clients’ needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
