About The Position

Werner Enterprises offers an 11-week paid summer internship designed to connect classroom learning with real-world experience. The internship is based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska, although some remote and off-site opportunities may be available. Interns receive dedicated job training and learning opportunities in a collaborative, inclusive work environment. Paid housing or housing assistance may be available. The program includes Lessons with Leaders sessions, a mentor program, intern activities, community support events, networking, and a summer project proposal and presentation. The intern will gain exposure to transportation management through departmental work, process improvement initiatives, customer case studies, and internal research projects. Requirements

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Logistics/Transportation, Management, or Supply Chain.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Creative, analytical problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of Excel, Word, and project management software.

Responsibilities

Engage in departmental tasks and shadow experienced team members to learn about daily operations.
Work with team members to analyze and improve existing processes within the division.
Participate in customer case studies by analyzing client needs and supporting the design of customized solutions.
Conduct research on industry trends and best practices to inform decisions within the division.
Develop and present a summer project proposal.
