About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Transportation Engineering Intern to join its Critical Infrastructure team in Tempe, Arizona. The intern will assist with roadway, bridge, and traffic design and analysis, and contribute to the preparation of technical documents and project deliverables. The team works collaboratively to plan, design, build, and modernize infrastructure, with a focus on improving communities and quality of life, mobility, economic growth, sustainability, and resiliency.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Relevant coursework in transportation, roadway, bridge, or traffic engineering.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CAD software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency in MicroStation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with roadway, bridge, and traffic design, including alignments, modeling, and technical analyses.
• Prepare specifications, cost estimates, quantity calculations, and engineering reports.
• Ensure designs meet Federal, State, and local standards.
• Review supplier drawings and assist with technical bid analyses.
• Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
