About The Position

The Tourism and Creative Marketing Manager leads the City of Greeley’s destination marketing operation and the Communication & Engagement department’s creative production team. The position oversees Greeley’s tourism strategy, Lodgers Tax–funded tourism budget, VisitGreeley.com, and annual destination marketing planning, while supervising the video and graphic design team responsible for tourism, citywide, and department creative work. The manager sets and executes Greeley’s destination positioning and promotion for leisure travelers, meeting and convention planners, sports and event organizers, and group travel. The role develops tourism marketing plans and budgets; manages agencies, vendors, contracts, and media buys; builds partnerships with tourism and community organizations; and measures results against visitation, lodging, and return-on-investment goals. It also leads brand standards and creative quality, ensuring video, graphics, photography, and campaign assets are strategic, on-brand, accessible, and delivered on time. The position calls for strong leadership and fiscal judgment, and the ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on execution amid multiple priorities and seasonal timelines. The manager builds and coaches a creative team, establishes priorities and workflows, makes data-informed decisions, and adjusts strategy to market trends and partner needs. The role requires regular local and nearby travel, with occasional overnight travel for trade shows, sales missions, and industry conferences. The work is primarily sedentary and office-based, with occasional event setup and other light to moderate physical activity. Benefits are available.
