About The Position

The Tourism and Creative Marketing Manager leads the City of Greeley’s destination marketing operation and the Communication & Engagement department’s creative production team. The role is responsible for tourism strategy, the Lodgers Tax–funded tourism budget, VisitGreeley.com, annual destination-marketing planning, and supervision of the video and graphic design team producing creative work for tourism, citywide campaigns, and City departments. The manager sets the direction for promoting Greeley to leisure travelers, meeting and convention planners, sports and event organizers, and group travel, and carries that strategy through implementation. The position develops annual marketing plans and budgets; manages agencies, vendors, contracts, and media buys; builds partnerships with local, regional, and state tourism stakeholders; and measures results against goals for visitation, lodging, and return on investment. It also leads brand standards and creative quality to ensure video, graphics, photography, and campaign assets are strategic, on brand, accessible, and delivered on time. This position requires leadership, fiscal judgment, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment with seasonal timelines and competing demands. The manager builds and coaches a high-performing creative team, sets priorities and intake processes, makes informed decisions, and adjusts strategy based on data, market trends, and partner needs. Regular local and field-based travel within the county and nearby cities is required; occasional overnight travel may be needed for trade shows, sales missions, and industry conferences. The position is benefits eligible.
