About The Position

As the first point of contact for most clients, Tellers help deliver Columbia Bank’s Breakthrough Client Service Standards. With guidance from the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager, the Teller ensures banking transactions are performed accurately, ethically, and in compliance with bank procedures and banking regulations. The role also maintains and enhances client relationships through meaningful conversations that uncover needs and identify opportunities to provide appropriate bank products and services. The Teller performs client transactions and cash-handling functions accurately and confidentially, including deposits, withdrawals, cash advances, payments, transfers, check cashing, and cash-drawer balancing. The role also supports daily branch-integrity tasks, such as balancing the ATM using double custody, processing night-drop deposits, balancing negotiable instruments and the credit card machine, processing returned mail, and updating lobby rate sheets and brochures.
