About the position

Liquid Instruments is seeking a technical track, business-minded engineer to join their team as a Sales Development Representative. This role involves lead generation and qualification, engaging with prospects over phone and email, researching and identifying new customers, and supporting the sales team in various tasks. The Sales Development Representative will have opportunities for growth and career development within the company, with options to rotate through different departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Application Engineering. The role reports to the Sales Development Manager and is based in the Solana Beach office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for lead generation and qualification on behalf of the sales team
  • Conduct intelligent and engaging conversations with prospects through phone and email
  • Research and identify new customers and their businesses
  • Engage current users to expand awareness, educate, ask for referrals, identify new opportunities, and develop account/application intelligence
  • Support the sales team in preparing for sales calls, customizing presentations, and assisting with post-sales call follow-up materials
  • Assist with trade shows and events, including researching and vetting potential opportunities, managing details such as set up and logistics, and reaching out to attendees.
