About The Position

Headway is seeking a Staff Product Marketing Manager to shape the patient journey across how people search for care, choose a provider, and stay engaged. The role will develop go-to-market strategies and a compelling, differentiated story for why patients should choose Headway. It works across Growth and Lifecycle, partnering closely with Product, Research, and Creative to translate patient insight into strategies that drive acquisition, activation, and retention. This is a build-oriented role focused on understanding patient needs and experiences, identifying high-impact opportunities through customer insight and funnel data, improving messaging and experiences that reduce friction, and leading patient positioning, messaging, launches, and experimentation. The successful candidate will bring strong product marketing craft and judgment as Headway grows its consumer Product Marketing team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of significant experience in product marketing or growth marketing, including meaningful consumer-facing work and ownership of business outcomes.
  • Deep customer curiosity and the ability to turn qualitative insight and quantitative evidence into clear decisions.
  • Understanding of consumer funnels and comfort working across acquisition and lifecycle.
  • A strong experimentation habit and the ability to develop hypotheses that can be tested and disproven.
  • Strong strategic writing skills, including the ability to develop positioning, messaging, briefs, and narratives.
  • Experience working in a regulated or highly constrained consumer category and building effective marketing within those constraints.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to help shape direction rather than wait for it.
  • Strong points of view, ability to influence senior stakeholders, and willingness to update thinking when evidence changes.
  • Thoughtful use of AI in work, with an understanding of where human judgment matters.
  • Measurable examples of work that changed customer behavior and business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Understand patient beliefs, needs, and experiences throughout the patient journey, and use those insights to influence Product and go-to-market strategy.
  • Use customer insights and funnel data to identify high-impact opportunities, including before a project brief exists.
  • Reduce friction in choosing Headway through improved messaging, information sequencing, and experiences that anticipate patient needs.
  • Own patient positioning and messaging, including developing messaging frameworks and launch narratives that express Headway's brand and product value.
  • Partner across Growth and Lifecycle to define go-to-market plans, including what to bring to market, for whom, when, where, and with what message.
  • Develop hypotheses, run experiments, and use results to continuously improve the patient journey.
  • Contribute strong craft and judgment to help shape the consumer Product Marketing discipline as the team grows.

Benefits

  • Reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities to participate in the application or interview process, perform essential job functions, and/or receive other benefits and privileges of employment.
