About the position
Your role as an EAP Clinician at Dialogue is to provide in-person psychosocial consultations to clients, helping them overcome personal problems and achieve their individual objectives. As an independent provider within the EAP network, you will receive client case referrals and be responsible for ensuring progress in their care path. This role requires a university degree in a related field, membership in a professional order, and 2+ years of relevant work experience. You should be comfortable with psychosocial assessments and have experience with short-term counseling.
Responsibilities
- Providing in-person psychosocial consultations to clients with mood disorders symptoms, grief, burnout, self-esteem issues, and social isolation
- Conducting consultations with clients presenting mental health-related symptoms and empowering them to talk openly about their difficulties in a judgment-free environment
- Following up with clients to ensure progress in their care path with Dialogue
- Navigating clients to other external resources complementary to Dialogue's services
- Entering consultation notes in the Dialogue Care Platform
- Supporting and providing a high-quality experience to Dialogue clients
- Having a university degree in a field related to counseling (Psychology, Social Work, Psychoeducation, Career Counselor, Sexology, Criminology, etc.)
- Being a member of a professional order and having a valid professional insurance
- Having access to an office to provide in-person sessions
- Having 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Being comfortable with psychosocial assessments and mental health disorders
- Having experience with or an affinity for short-term counseling
- Having experience with teenagers 14 years and over, couple and family intervention, or coaching and supporting managers related to concerns regarding their employees (an asset)
- Having knowledge of provincial resources for navigation to external resources (e.g. child and elder care resources) (an asset)

- Experience with or an affinity for short-term counselling
