About the position
The job overview for the role of Licensed Social Worker at Dialogue is to empower patients to openly discuss their mental health and create a judgment-free environment. The social worker will conduct video consultations with clients, follow up to ensure progress in their care, participate in clinical meetings with other healthcare professionals, contribute to the improvement of mental health programs, and collaborate with Case Managers for administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have a Master's degree in Mental Health or Human Relations, 2+ years of relevant work experience, and be a member of a professional order. They should also be comfortable with psychosocial assessments and have experience with short-term therapy. Part-time availability, a desire to work in an innovative environment, and proficiency in French or English are also desired.
Responsibilities
- Conduct video consultations with clients presenting mental health-related symptoms
- Follow up with clients to ensure progress in their care path with Dialogue
- Participate in clinical meetings with other healthcare professionals (nurses, physicians, psychologists, psychotherapists, and social workers)
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of mental health programs, clinical protocols, and standards of practice
- Collaborate with Case Managers to assist in administrative tasks such as booking appointments and finding resources or information
- Perform psychosocial assessments and work with mental health disorders
- Provide short-term therapy
- Work part-time with a minimum of 10 hours per week
- Work in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Have experience with solution-focused brief therapy (an asset)
- Be comfortable in French or English
Requirements
- Master's degree in the field of Mental Health or Human Relations (e.g., Social Work, Psychoeducation, Sexology, Occupational Therapy, Career Counselling, etc.)
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Must be a member of a professional order
- Comfortable with psychosocial assessments and mental health disorders
- Experience with or an affinity for short-term therapy
- Part-time availability (10 hrs/week min.)
- The desire to work in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Experience with solution-focused brief therapy (an asset)
- Comfortability in French or English
