About The Position

Five Star Bank is hiring a Service Associate (Bank Teller) to serve as the welcoming face of a branch, provide exceptional customer service, and embody the bank’s HEART values. The role handles routine banking transactions and cash management, helps customers use digital banking tools, and connects customers with colleagues for more complex needs. It also supports branch operations, maintains compliance with regulatory and security requirements, and keeps current on bank services and promotions. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of customer service or cash handling experience.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
• Comfort navigating digital platforms and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative team player who is eager to learn, puts customers first, and enjoys creating positive experiences.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift 1–10 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to travel between office locations as needed.
• Extensive computer and phone usage.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assist with routine transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, accurately and carefully.
• Manage cash drawers, reconcile transactions, and securely handle cash and financial instruments.
• Educate customers about mobile banking, ATMs, online banking, and other self-service tools.
• Identify customer needs and refer customers to Sales & Service Associates or Relationship Bankers for complex solutions.
• Support branch operations, including vault balancing, ATM servicing, night drop, and branch readiness.
• Answer incoming calls and greet walk-in customers professionally and efficiently.
• Follow regulatory, security, and audit standards.
• Participate in branch meetings and maintain working knowledge of current promotions and bank services.
• Travel between nearby office locations as needed.
