About The Position

The Retail Banker provides outstanding customer service while assisting customers with banking needs, accurately processing transactions, and connecting customers with products and services suited to their financial needs. The role is based at the Merchants & Marine Bank Gautier Branch in Gautier, Mississippi, and supports branch operations, with occasional travel to other branch locations as needed.

Requirements

• Previous cash handling experience.
• Customer service experience, preferably in banking, retail, or another service-focused environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive attitude and desire to help others.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service during every customer interaction.
• Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, payments, and other banking transactions.
• Build customer relationships and identify opportunities to connect customers with additional banking products and services.
• Assist customers with online and mobile banking, including password resets and account access issues.
• Handle cash and financial transactions accurately.
• Complete daily item processing using scanning equipment.
• Support branch operations and assist other branch locations as needed, which may require occasional travel.
