About The Position

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to join Frontex Headquarters in Warsaw. This role involves a hybrid work model, with 20% onsite presence in Warsaw and 80% remote work. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of IT relevant professional experience, with at least 2 years in relevant IT roles. The candidate must be based within two hours of Warsaw and possess a minimum English language skill level of B2 (CEFR). The mission duration is 50 months, with an expected workload of 220 days per year for the first three years, and 260 days in the fourth year. On-call duties are also expected, with an estimated 1060 hours for the first three years and 1250 hours in the fourth year. A successful candidate will need to initiate an EU CONFIDENTIAL security screening procedure within the first 45 days of assignment. Travel is not foreseen for this role.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of IT relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 2 years in relevant IT roles.
  • Minimum level of education: Level 4.

  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification or equivalent.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification or equivalent.
  • Excellent practical hands-on experience in configuring, developing and maintaining ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience in creating customized solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Experience in administration and maintenance of ServiceNow in a DevOps role.
  • Experience in creating SOPs and other technical documentation.
  • Well understanding of complex information systems and their interoperability.
  • Knowledge of IT security standards.
  • Practical hands-on experience designing ServiceNow platform solutions.
  • Excellent practical hands-on experience with requirements gathering, analysis and project management.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of ServiceNow products portfolio.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of Service Management.
  • Knowledge of key technologies for ServiceNow integration (Web Services, SSO, LDAP, REST, etc.).
  • Candidates must be based within two hours of Warsaw.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with on-prem ServiceNow.
  • Experience in managing the backend of ServiceNow platform in on-prem setup.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing new configurations and customizations of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Analyzing and advising on requests for implementation of new functionalities.
  • Testing and validating proposed changes.
  • Writing and implementing code within the ServiceNow platform.
  • Running development projects in cooperation with ServiceNow Architect and Administrator.
  • Performing application and code reviews to ensure system integrity.
  • Maintaining up-to-date solution documentation (technical documentation, SOPs, user manuals, knowledge base articles, etc.).
  • Managing and maintaining the ServiceNow instance, including all underlying components (binaries, configuration, key stores, Tomcat, Java, local backups, performance tuning, etc.), ensuring functionality and security compliance.
  • Maintaining ServiceNow up to date, including upgrades and application of patches.
  • Ensuring proper integration with Frontex systems.
  • Managing and maintaining MariaDB database files and services used by ServiceNow.
  • Providing daily support for the ServiceNow platform and implementing standard changes.
  • Maintaining current configurations and customizations.
  • Analyzing and resolving application-related incidents and performing bug fixes.
  • Providing recommendations regarding business requirements and contributing to technical designs.
  • Supporting ServiceNow Architect and Administrator in solution architecture design and administration.
  • Supporting ServiceNow project planning.
  • Supporting other teams in risk management, disaster recovery, and security management.
  • Other specific duties as assigned by the team leader.
