About The Position

The Unified Communication Engineer will be responsible for the administration and support of unified communication platforms, including Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business, and Microsoft Teams. This role involves managing complex topologies, troubleshooting incidents, architecting long-term changes, and maintaining system documentation. The position requires a proactive attitude, strong teamwork, and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies. The role is based in Warsaw, with a 70% remote work arrangement, and requires a security clearance of RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of IT relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Excellent practical knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server technology including Exchange Hybrid.
  • Experience in administration of complex Exchange topologies deployed in distributed environments.
  • Practical experience administering Microsoft Skype for Business Server.
  • Experience in optimizing, tuning, and capacity planning of Exchange Server.
  • Experience in optimizing, tuning, and capacity planning of Skype for Business Server.
  • Practical experience administering communication features of Microsoft Teams.
  • Experience in Exchange patch management.
  • Experience in Skype for Business patch management.
  • Expertise in analysing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Basic knowledge in administering other Microsoft systems.
  • Proactive attitude with strong teamwork spirit and user-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical and business concepts to multiple audiences.
  • Practical experience managing Connex/Dencrypt communication platform.
  • Practical experience administering desk sharing, group calendar, and room panel applications (e.g. TimeFlex).
  • Advanced proficiency in writing and maintaining scripts using Microsoft Teams PowerShell module and Exchange Online PowerShell.
  • Experience automating bulk user provisioning, license assignment, and repetitive configuration audits across M365 and on-premises environments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API for advanced reporting and cross-platform automation.
  • Experience working in restricted environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with Active Directory tiering model.
  • Valid RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED security clearance from the first day of assignment.
  • Candidates must be based within two hours of Warsaw.
  • Minimum English language skills (CEFR): B2.

Responsibilities

  • Administration of Microsoft Exchange Servers.
  • Administration of Skype for Business Servers.
  • Administration of Exchange Online service.
  • Administration of Microsoft Teams service, including Teams Phone.
  • Acting as 2nd line of support across production, testing, and development environments.
  • Troubleshooting incidents and problems, updating ticketing system in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with other administrators to harmonize solutions and processes.
  • Architecting long-term changes to unified communication platforms.
  • Contributing to specifications for solutions based on or integrated with unified communication platforms.
  • Collaborating with development teams to align topologies and configurations according to project needs.
  • Maintaining system documentation.
  • Participating in the development of documentation for new solutions.
  • Reporting on activities.
  • Other specific duties as assigned by supervisor.
