About The Position

This profile is for a Microsoft Database Administrator responsible for administering complex MS SQL-based systems deployed in distributed environments. The role involves optimizing, tuning, and capacity planning of databases, scripting MS SQL databases, data transformations, and ETL tools including cloud services. It also includes the design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft Business Intelligence on-premises tools and services, as well as Microsoft Fabric tools and services. The position requires hands-on experience in monitoring systems and administering virtual infrastructure, with basic knowledge of other Microsoft systems. The candidate must have a proactive attitude, strong teamwork spirit, a user-oriented mindset, and the ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, including the ability to explain technical and business concepts to different audiences. Experience working in restricted environments, with Active Directory tiering models, and knowledge of DBPlus Performance Monitor application are also required. The role involves creating and managing Always On deployments, mastering recovery models, and utilizing SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs) for performance diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of IT relevant professional experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant IT roles at a similar position.
  • Extensive experience in administration of complex MS SQL-based systems deployed in distributed environments.
  • Expert knowledge in optimizing, tuning, and capacity planning of databases.
  • Practical experience in scripting MS SQL databases, data transformations, and ETL tools including cloud services.
  • Experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft Business Intelligence on-premises tools and services.
  • Experience in design, implementation, and maintenance of Microsoft Fabric tools and services.
  • Hands-on experience in monitoring systems.

  • Security Clearance: RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED (valid from the first day of assignment).
