About the position
Forbes Vetted is seeking a Senior Branded Content Editor who will be responsible for assigning and editing (and writing if need be) Forbes Vetted paid/sponsored content. This role involves working closely with the business development and partnerships team to brainstorm new client offerings and execute sponsored content packages. The Senior Branded Content Editor will also coordinate with the editorial team to ensure paid content aligns with the greater editorial strategy of Forbes Vetted. This role reports to the Managing Editor and offers the opportunity to contribute editorial stories to Forbes Vetted.
Responsibilities
- Ownership of paid content planning and execution
- Working in partnership with the Vetted business development and editorial teams to create compelling sponsored content
- Recruiting and onboarding freelance writers
- Directly managing two paid content editors with the opportunity to grow your team further
- Managing the sponsored content calendar in conjunction with the Forbes Vetted branded content editor and managing editor
- Participating in sales event content planning and assisting with coverage
- Planning the edit calendar with guidance from the deputy editor and senior strategy editor
- Assisting with social and newsletter paid content creation
- Partnering with the business intelligence team to analyze content performance and develop actionable insights to maximize content performance
- Tracking content performance against team and individual goals
- The opportunity to contribute editorial stories to Forbes Vetted, time allowing
Requirements
- 5-7+ years of experience working on branded content at a major media website
- 1-2+ years of experience managing a branded content team of editors and writers
- Generalist able to cover a wide range of categories such as home, fashion, sleep, and tech
- Prior experience writing and/or editing hands-on product reviews
- Expert grasp of digital strategy, commerce strategy, and SEO best practices
- Prior experience developing and executing on sponsored content strategy
- Impeccable writing, editing, and reporting skills
- User-focused and understands editorial independence
- Ability to balance editorial needs with business needs
- Experience working within a collaborative editorial team
- Thrives working cross-functionally with internal and external partners
- Eager to innovate and experiment editorially
- Passionate about growing the Forbes Vetted audience
Benefits
- Annual base salary range of $120,000 - $122,000
- Hybrid work schedule with flexibility for employees
- Some roles may be fully remote within the U.S.
