About The Position

Public Storage is hiring a Property Manager to work independently across multiple self-storage locations, spending time both indoors and outdoors. The role involves assessing customers’ storage needs and making recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies. Property Managers conduct daily storage-unit inspections to confirm inventory and availability, audit cash drawers and make bank deposits, and help customers stay current on payments through reminders and collection calls when required. The position pays $13.00 per hour and offers flexible, full-time schedules between 9:30 a.m. and 6 p.m., with weekend hours until 5 p.m.

Requirements

• Customer-service-centered sales experience; candidates may come from retail, restaurant, fast-food, or other service-based companies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use a personal vehicle to travel between work locations and conduct work-related business.
• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, including climbing stairs and opening large doors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and make recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current with payments by making reminder and collection calls when required.
• Travel between properties and conduct other work-related tasks using a personal vehicle.
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
