About The Position

Public Storage is hiring a Property Manager to work independently across multiple locations, spending time both indoors and outdoors. The role involves assessing customers’ storage needs and recommending storage options and packing and moving supplies. Managers inspect storage units to confirm inventory and availability, handle cash drawer audits and bank deposits, and help customers stay current on payments through reminders and collection calls. The position also includes cleaning and routine maintenance of interior areas and exterior grounds.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment; candidates may come from retail, restaurant, fast food, or other service-based companies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use a personal vehicle to travel between work locations and for other work-related business.
• Ability to transport, lift, or move items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, spend up to 50% of work time outdoors, climb stairs, and open large doors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and make suggestions, including selling packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current with payments by making reminder and collection calls when required.
• Perform cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds and curb appeal clean and free of debris.
• Travel between multiple work locations and conduct other work-related business using a personal vehicle.
