About The Position

Public Storage is hiring Property Managers to work independently across multiple self-storage locations. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, assessing customers’ storage needs and recommending storage options and packing and moving supplies. Managers inspect storage units to confirm inventory and availability, audit cash drawers, make bank deposits, and help customers stay current on payments through reminder and collection calls. The work also includes cleaning and daily maintenance of interior areas and exterior grounds.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-service-centered sales environment, such as retail, restaurants, fast food, or another service-based company.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to use a personal vehicle to travel between work locations and for other work-related business.
• Ability to lift, move, or transport items weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to walk around facilities, climb stairs, and open large doors.

Responsibilities

• Assess customers’ storage needs and make recommendations, including selling packing and moving supplies.
• Inspect storage units daily to confirm inventory and availability and ensure spaces are ready to rent.
• Audit cash drawers and make bank deposits.
• Help customers stay current on payments by making reminder and collection calls when required.
• Complete cleaning and daily maintenance, including sweeping and mopping interior areas and keeping exterior grounds clean and free of debris.
• Travel between multiple properties and other work-related locations using a personal vehicle.
