About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Guard at a financial institution location in New York, NY. The officer will serve and safeguard employees, visitors, and customers by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role includes responding professionally to security concerns and supporting a welcoming environment. The schedule is Tuesday and Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. The pay rate is $23.00 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notifying appropriate personnel or emergency responders as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions, hazards, or unauthorized activity.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation.
