About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed mobile patrol Security Officer in Springfield, Illinois. The officer will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. The role includes responding to concerns and incidents, documenting observations, following site-specific policies, and collaborating with others to support a welcoming environment. Patrol locations and working conditions may vary by client site. The position pays $19.65 per hour. The listed schedule is Fridays and Sundays from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license if the position requires driving.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
Respond to concerns and document observations.
Communicate and work collaboratively with others.
