Security Officer - Bank ATM Patrol

About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution in Brooklyn, NY, you will safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and providing customer service and clear communication. You will help create a welcoming, professional environment and respond to security-related concerns with integrity and teamwork. This is a part-time position scheduled Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12:00 AM to 9:00 AM, paying $23.00 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Maintain accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation according to site-specific requirements.
