About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an unarmed Security Officer for a financial institution in Brookline, Massachusetts. The part-time position provides a fixed weekly schedule at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment to the designated shifts. The officer may claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back when needed. The pay rate is $24.00 per hour.

The scheduled shifts are Monday and Tuesday from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. The role involves customer service, monitoring access and activity, responding to incidents, patrolling the facility and surrounding areas, and completing required reports and logs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or customers at a financial institution while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unusual activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with company and site requirements.
