About The Position
As a Security Officer Patrol Presence in Urbandale, Iowa, you will serve and safeguard clients at a commercial real estate location. You will conduct unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide customer service and clear communication to tenants, visitors, vendors, staff, and property management personnel while supporting a welcoming environment. The position is full-time and pays $17.51 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any licensing requirements imposed by state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
- A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and property management personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations calmly and professionally, using problem-solving skills and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of commercial real estate buildings, common areas, parking facilities, entrances, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual activity or property conditions.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures while maintaining a professional presence.
- Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, patrols, and maintenance-related concerns in accordance with company and site requirements.
