About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in San Carlos, California. The officer will help safeguard the property by conducting patrols, monitoring access, responding to incidents, and maintaining a visible, professional presence. The role also supports tenants and visitors by providing customer service, directions, and assistance. The listed schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The pay rate is $25.90 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor property access and verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures.
Report access-control concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations.
Document observations, actions taken, and notifications in required reports.
Maintain a professional presence that supports tenant operations and helps deter unauthorized activity.
Provide directions and assistance as needed.
