Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Presence
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed patrol Security Officer for a commercial real estate location in San Carlos, California. The officer will safeguard clients, tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, supporting a welcoming environment, and providing customer service. The role involves following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response procedures, and reflecting Allied Universal’s values of being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven. The scheduled shifts are Wednesday and Thursday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, and Friday through Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The pay rate is $27.40 per hour.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
- Identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and document entries, incidents, and observations in required reports.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, notify appropriate personnel, and follow established response protocols.
- Maintain a professional presence, assist with security-related concerns, provide directions, and communicate clearly with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
