About The Position

As a Security Officer supporting a financial institution in New York, NY, you will help safeguard the client by monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with employees and visitors, and help support a welcoming environment. The position is full time and pays $21.52 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Monday through Thursday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least one year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience.

CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor access to the location, verify visitor credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain awareness of activity in assigned areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions.
Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and communicate relevant observations to site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
