About the position

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is responsible for prospecting and qualifying potential customers for the Vimeo Sales team. They are the first point of contact between prospective customers and Vimeo, generating and qualifying new leads. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for identifying new business opportunities and can quickly convert and assign those opportunities. The SDR will also be responsible for building relationships with potential customers, understanding their needs, and introducing new concepts to solve their problems.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify potential customers for the Vimeo Sales team
  • Build trust and rapport with prospective customers
  • Generate and qualify new leads
  • Determine potential opportunities for new business
  • Rapidly qualify, convert, and assign opportunities
  • Develop a long-term interest in a client-facing sales career
  • Demonstrate a competitive spirit and drive for results
  • Utilize problem-solving skills and take initiative
  • Be coachable and enjoy learning in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Possess superior organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Build a point of view on how to help qualify customers' needs
  • Speak to value and return on investment vs. technical functionality
  • Anticipate and prepare for objections
  • Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility as part of a growing sales organization
  • Manage a high volume of inbound leads and prioritize leads
  • Research and understand various lines of business and personas
  • Meet and exceed monthly goals through outbound emails, calls, and meetings
  • Possess 1-3 years of work experience, preferably in demand development, lead generation, marketing, or sales
  • Have outstanding phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software
  • Build relationships with potential customers and introduce new concepts to solve problems
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders and understand technology platform capabilities
  • Multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently
  • Demonstrate interest in the entertainment, online video, or technology industries
  • Represent the company and products with professionalism.

  • 1-3 years’ of work experience. Preferably in demand development, lead generation, marketing or sales, ideally within SaaS businesses
  • Outstanding phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM software
  • Ability to build relationships with potential customers, understand their environment, and introduce new concepts to solve problems
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, fully understand technology platform capabilities, and Vimeo’s ability to solve partner needs
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency
  • Demonstrated interest in the entertainment, online video or technology industries
  • Represent the company and our products with a high degree of professionalism
