About The Position

Power Digital is seeking a Public Relations Intern for Spring 2027. The opportunity is open to current college students in NYC who are enrolled in an internship course for college credit. The intern will support public relations work from the NYC office, including sample coordination, beauty closet organization, client status updates, media tracking, coverage reporting, media and influencer list maintenance, and social media monitoring. The hybrid schedule calls for working in the office two days per week, for approximately 15–20 hours weekly. Compensation is college credit.

Requirements

• Current college student in NYC enrolled in an internship course for college credit.
• Previous internship and/or professional experience; PR or influencer-specific experience is a plus.
• Understanding of media relations and the PR industry.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Proactive and team-oriented approach.
• Positive, can-do attitude and eagerness to learn and develop communications skills.
• Familiarity with PR processes.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Sound understanding of AP Style and GSP in writing.
• Strong writing skills.

Nice To Haves

• PR-specific experience.
• Influencer relations experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sample sends from the NYC office.
• Organize the beauty closet for product sendouts and mailers.
• Create labels for client product sendouts.
• Keep client status grids up to date.
• Track and clip media coverage and update client coverage books.
• Monitor press coverage for clients and flag competitor coverage.
• Assist with coverage PAs/SMAs and monthly reports.
• Update and maintain client media and influencer lists.
• Flag client media coverage on social media.
