About the position
The Project Manager PV Construction will be responsible for overseeing the management aspects of Photovoltaic projects during the construction phase. They will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. The role involves coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, including main contractors and suppliers, to enforce contracts and keep timelines and budgets under control. The Project Manager will also be involved in project reporting, budgeting, tracking site activities, and implementing improvements or corrective actions. A background in Project Management or Project Coordination in the renewable energy sector, particularly in PV or Wind, is required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and cooperate with all parties involved in the assigned construction project
- Coordinate and perform activities such as developing project reporting, project budgets, track site activities, project schedules, documentation requirements, etc.
- Identify, implement, and monitor improvements, risks, and corrective actions to the main contractors, suppliers, and external service providers assigned to the project
- Report to the Construction Project Manager in all stages of the projects according to internal reporting guidelines/templates
- Know and apply the policies and procedures of Aquila Capital, with special attention to QA/QC and HSE matters for the construction projects
- Participate in optimizations/modifications to the technical approach to the projects, particularly in terms of scope, time, and cost
- Support project contract negotiations with main contractors, suppliers, and external service providers
Requirements
- University Degree in Civil / Mechanical / Electrotechnical / Environmental Engineering or similar
- At least 2 years of experience in Project Management or 4 years of Project Coordination of Renewable energy projects, ideally within PV or Wind
- Detailed understanding of current Portuguese construction regulations
- Excellent language skills
