About the position
We are seeking an Investment Management Analyst (Renewables) to join our team in Hamburg, Luxemburg, or Frankfurt. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing project finance debt transactions on an international level, preparing Investment Committee decisions, building and assessing complex financial models, supporting discussions and negotiations with potential investment targets, and providing support throughout the entire investment process. Additionally, you will liaise with different departments and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor or master's degree in business administration, economics, finance, or a similar field, along with 2-3 years of work experience in structured finance, debt capital markets, financial engineering, M&A advisory, or infrastructure investments. Strong financial modeling skills and advanced verbal and written English communication skills are also required.
Responsibilities
- Assess project finance debt transactions on an international level
- Prepare Investment Committee decisions
- Build and assess complex financial models
- Support discussions and negotiations with potential investment targets
- Preparation and monitoring of investment limitations, distribution calculations, NAV calculations, the plausibility of valuation results, etc.
- Support the team at all stages of complex fund investments/project financings (from early term sheet negotiations until full execution)
- Liaise with different departments and internal stakeholders
Requirements
- Accomplished bachelor or master degree in business administration, economics, finance or similar
- Min. 2-3 yrs work experience in Structured Finance /Debt Capital Markets/ Financial Engineering / M&A Advisory / IPPs or Infra PE preferably in renewable energy/ infrastructure investments
- Preferrable (Senior) Associate level with experiences in investment and/or fund management
- Good Knowledge in the field of project financing, complex financings and/or private placements
- Good financial model skills specifically with Excel, VBA and Python are considered beneficial
- Ability to analyze and solve non-routine problems in a timely and insightful manner
- Advanced verbal and written English communication skills are required (German and any other language is considered beneficial)
