About The Position

Talley Eye Institute is seeking an enthusiastic Patient Service Specialist to manage efficient patient flow from arrival through departure. The role performs clerical duties and works with clinic personnel, patients, visitors, and fellow employees to support positive relationships. The position includes patient check-in and check-out, updating paperwork, collecting copays, scheduling appointments, and scanning documents into the electronic medical record. The Patient Service Specialist protects the confidentiality of patients’ personal and financial information and may travel to satellite offices as scheduled. Talley Eye Institute provides patient-centered, compassionate eye care using current technology, techniques, equipment, and training. The institute was founded in 1972 and includes nine specialists and eight satellite clinics serving patients in three states.

Requirements

Ability to make mathematical decisions involving money exchange between patients and the practice.
Ability to perform well in a fast-paced, high-volume medical practice and multitask as needed.

Responsibilities
