About The Position

We are currently recruiting for an Order Entry / Account Management Specialist for a well-established local manufacturing company. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with customers while coordinating with internal manufacturing, sales, and production teams. The Order Entry / Account Management Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing customer orders, maintaining customer accounts, providing order updates, and ensuring customers receive timely and professional service throughout the order process.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in order entry, account management, customer service, inside sales, or administrative support preferred.
  • Manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  • Experience working with ERP, CRM, or order management systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers and internal departments.
  • Dependable, professional, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Enter and process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Review purchase orders for pricing, quantities, specifications, and delivery requirements.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Provide customers with pricing, lead times, order status, shipping information, and other updates.
  • Respond to customer questions and resolve order-related issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with production, purchasing, shipping, sales, and other internal departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor open orders and follow up on production and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain accurate customer, order, and account information within the company's ERP/CRM system.
  • Prepare quotes and assist with pricing requests as needed.
  • Communicate changes in schedules, pricing, availability, or delivery dates to customers.
  • Assist with customer documentation, reports, and general administrative responsibilities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company's products and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire order process.
