About The Position

The Leasing Professional is the customer-service representative for The Dinerstein Companies and its apartment community, helping prospective residents find a home and supporting existing residents. The role involves leasing and sales, resident service, community marketing, and social media. The position primarily operates in a professional office environment and requires regular computer use and communication with customers and residents. The employee must be able to perform the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience in sales and customer service.
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Comfort with all aspects of social media, including appearing on camera.
Must meet company background investigation, credit screening, and drug screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience at a lease-up is desired.
Prior leasing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Address residents’ needs and help resolve resident service requests promptly.
Provide excellent customer service and encourage prospective customers to lease at the community.
Contribute ideas to improve service as part of the team.
Manage and update the community’s social media efforts, including creating and distributing engaging content.
Follow up with customers and close sales daily.
Greet guests, show vacant apartments virtually and in person, and help customers secure a home.
Market the property through events, social media, and employee partnerships.
Advocate for current residents and help them renew their leases.
Prepare resident lease files and organize move-ins.
Negotiate renewals with existing residents.
Follow through to ensure resident service and other requests are resolved promptly.
