About The Position

As the Leasing Agent, you will be the first point of contact for prospective residents and a trusted resource for current residents. You will market available apartments, conduct tours, guide applicants through the leasing process, and help the community achieve its occupancy and leasing goals. The role also includes supporting resident retention, maintaining accurate property records, and ensuring the property is presented professionally.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication, customer service, sales, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build relationships with prospects and residents, follow up on leads, overcome objections, and close leases.
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and property management software.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
A professional, customer-focused approach.
Availability to work weekends as scheduled.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience.
Experience with leasing, marketing, and occupancy goals.

Responsibilities

Market available apartments and respond promptly to prospective residents.
Conduct property tours and follow up with leads to secure new leases.
Process rental applications according to APG's written screening criteria, applied consistently to every applicant.
Prepare lease agreements.
Maintain accurate records in the property management system.
Assist current residents and support resident retention efforts.
Ensure the property is presented professionally.
Meet occupancy and leasing goals.
Comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
