About The Position

The Leasing Agent serves as the company's primary sales representative for prospective residents and is responsible for driving occupancy through consultative selling, relationship building, and lease conversion. The role involves understanding prospective residents' needs, presenting housing solutions, and closing leases. The agent responds to inquiries, guides applicants through the leasing process, explains lease documents, and performs leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least three years of related sales or customer-facing sales experience.
• Valid state real estate license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Outstanding communication and analytical skills to solve problems effectively.
• Ability to build relationships, organize tasks, and provide excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to work weekends.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Leasing, real estate, or property management experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and follow up on inquiries from prospective residents to drive leasing performance.
• Engage potential tenants and present housing options to encourage applications.
• Negotiate lease terms and explain leases and related documents to new tenants.
• Perform leasing activities in accordance with applicable laws to maximize occupancy.
• Collaborate with underwriting and leasing teams to guide applicants through the leasing journey.
• Stay informed about company policies and procedures to ensure compliance and up-to-date practices.
