About The Position

The Leasing Agent at Odyssey at Laurel Island, a 192-unit residential community managed by APG, serves as the first point of contact for prospective residents and a resource for current residents. The role markets available apartments, conducts tours, guides applicants through leasing, and supports occupancy and leasing goals. It also involves processing applications under APG’s written screening criteria, preparing lease agreements, keeping accurate property management records, assisting residents, supporting retention, and maintaining a professional property presentation. The Leasing Agent must comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication, customer service, sales, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build relationships with prospects and residents, follow up on leads, overcome objections, and close leases.
• Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications and property management software.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently as well as part of a team.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.
• Availability to work weekends as scheduled.
• Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience with leasing, marketing, and occupancy goals preferred.

Responsibilities

• Market available apartments and promptly respond to prospective residents.
• Conduct property tours and follow up with leads to secure new leases.
• Process rental applications consistently according to APG’s written screening criteria.
• Prepare lease agreements.
• Maintain accurate records in the property management system.
• Assist current residents and support resident retention efforts.
• Ensure the property is presented professionally.
• Meet occupancy and leasing goals.
• Comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
