About The Position

The Leasing Agent serves as the first point of contact for prospective residents and a resource for current residents. The role markets available apartments, conducts tours, guides applicants through the leasing process, and supports occupancy and leasing goals.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong communication, customer service, sales, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build relationships with prospects and residents, follow up on leads, overcome objections, and close leases.
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail.
Proficiency in basic computer applications and property management software.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and work independently and as part of a team.
A professional, customer-focused approach.
Availability to work weekends as scheduled.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous leasing, sales, or customer service experience.
Experience with leasing, marketing, and occupancy goals.

Responsibilities

Market available apartments and respond promptly to prospective residents.
Conduct property tours and follow up with leads to secure new leases.
Process rental applications according to APG's written screening criteria, applying them consistently to every applicant.
Prepare lease agreements.
Maintain accurate records in the property management system.
Assist current residents and support resident retention efforts.
Ensure the property is presented professionally.
Meet occupancy and leasing goals.
Comply with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
