About The Position
The Kitchen Cashier provides customer service and handles cash in a retail store environment. The role is expected to model the company by delivering excellent customer service while maintaining company core values. The position supports kitchen operations, takes food orders in person and by telephone, and maintains front-counter supplies and standards for cleanliness, safety, sanitation, and food safety. Pay scale: $13.75 to $15.74 per hour; individual pay depends on location and factors including skills, relevant experience, education, and training.
Requirements
- Valid Food Handlers Card.
- Ability to walk continuously throughout the shift while moving about the store and handling merchandise.
- Ability to stand continuously throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

- Customer service and retail experience are desirable.
Responsibilities
- Deliver excellent customer service and engage with customers throughout interactions.
- Maintain quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store-condition, and food-safety standards.
- Assist cooks with making specific dishes.
- Fill and restock front-counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
- Follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions.
- Maintain personal cashier productivity.
- Take food orders in person and by telephone.
- Improve the speed and efficiency of service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Build and maintain positive team relationships and demonstrate care, compassion, empathy, and approachability toward diverse people.
