About The Position

The Kitchen Cashier provides customer service and handles cash in a retail store environment. The role is expected to model the company by delivering excellent customer service while maintaining company core values. The position supports kitchen operations by assisting cooks with specific dishes, taking food orders in person and by telephone, and replenishing front-counter supplies. It also involves maintaining store standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety. The cashier follows procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions, and is responsible for personal cashier productivity. The role requires continuous walking and standing throughout the shift and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Duties may change as business or work-environment conditions change.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service and engage with customers.

• Assist cooks with making specific dishes.
• Fill and restock front-counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
• Follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions.
• Maintain personal cashier productivity.
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
• Improve the speed and efficiency of service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
