About The Position

The Kitchen Cashier provides customer service and handles cash in a retail store environment. This role is expected to model the company’s values by delivering excellent customer service. The position supports kitchen operations, takes food orders, maintains front-counter supplies, and follows transaction procedures while upholding standards for cleanliness, safety, sanitation, loss prevention, store conditions, and food safety.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Demonstrated persistence and perseverance in achieving results.
• Ability to demonstrate care, compassion, empathy, and concern for people.
• Ability to build and maintain positive team relationships and relate well to diverse people.
• Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers, improving the speed and efficiency of service.
• Handle cash and follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions.
• Assist cooks with making specific dishes.
• Fill and restock front-counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
• Maintain personal cashier productivity.
• Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
