About The Position

The Kitchen Cashier provides customer service and handles cash in a retail store environment. The role is expected to model the company’s values by delivering excellent customer service. The position also supports kitchen operations by assisting cooks with specific dishes, taking food orders in person and by telephone, and restocking front-counter supplies. The employee maintains required standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers throughout interactions.
• Improve the speed and efficiency of service.
• Assist cooks with making specific dishes.
• Fill and restock front-counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
• Follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions.
• Maintain personal cashier productivity.
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
• Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
