About The Position

The Kitchen Cashier provides customer service and handles cash in a retail store environment. The role is expected to model the company’s values by delivering excellent customer service. The position works with cooks, supports food preparation and front-counter restocking, and takes food orders in person and by telephone. It also maintains standards for cleanliness, organization, safety, sanitation, loss prevention, store conditions, and food safety.

Requirements

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift.

• Customer service and retail experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and engage with customers.
• Improve the speed and efficiency of service.
• Handle cash and follow procedures for voids, refunds, transaction cancellations, and saved recall transactions.
• Assist cooks with making specific dishes.
• Fill and restock front-counter utensils, water sanitizer, vegetables, and drinks.
• Take food orders in person and by telephone.
• Maintain standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, store conditions, and food safety.
• Maintain personal cashier productivity.
• Build positive team relationships and interact well with diverse people.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
