About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is hiring an in-office Insurance Sales Agent in Dallas, Texas. The company provides low-cost insurance and emphasizes straightforward, customized policies and customer service. The role is suited to a motivated, customer-focused person with a strong sales mentality and good organizational and interpersonal skills. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, and ongoing career support. Compensation includes hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
- Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain active license status with TDI.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service or insurance sales experience; preferred but not required.
- Bilingual Spanish and English; preferred but not required.
- Current, valid Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license; highly preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with insurance needs, including issuing new policies, editing existing policies, taking payments, renewing and reinstating policies, and answering questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
- Seek out prospective clients, generate prospect lists, and build clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain an active license with TDI.
