Insurance Sales Agent - Bilingual
About The Position
A-MAX Insurance is hiring a bilingual Insurance Sales Agent for an in-office position in El Paso, Texas. The role is suited to a motivated, customer-focused person with a strong sales mentality, good organizational and interpersonal skills, and an interest in building a career in insurance. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, ongoing support, and career advancement opportunities. The agent helps customers with insurance needs, including creating and updating policies, processing payments, renewing or reinstating policies, and answering questions. The role also includes inspecting vehicles to assess insurance risk, finding and developing prospective clients through networking and marketing, coordinating marketing strategies with the office manager, performing administrative work, handling renewals, contacting underwriting, and assisting with daily housekeeping routines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
- Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and people skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service or insurance sales experience.
- Bilingual Spanish and English.
- A current Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers with new insurance policies, policy changes, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and questions.
- Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are acceptable insurance risks.
- Seek out new clients, generate prospective client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
- Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract new customers.
- Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
- Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
- Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain an active license with TDI.
