About The Position

A-MAX Insurance is hiring an Insurance Sales Agent for an in-office position in La Joya, Texas. The agent helps customers understand and meet their insurance needs, provides customer service, and develops new business. The role suits a motivated, organized person with a strong sales mentality, interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused approach. A-MAX provides intensive paid training, licensing assistance, and ongoing career support. The position includes hourly pay plus uncapped commission, paid weekly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation for daily marketing.
• Basic computer knowledge and strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision and quickly learn company or proprietary software.
• Complete continuing education as required to maintain active license status with TDI; A-MAX pays for the courses.

Nice To Haves

• Customer service or insurance sales experience; not required.
• Spanish and English bilingual ability; not required.
• Current, valid Texas Limited Lines or Property & Casualty license; highly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with new insurance policies, policy changes, payments, renewals, reinstatements, and questions.
• Inspect vehicles and assess their general condition, age, and other characteristics to determine whether they are an acceptable insurance risk.
• Seek new clients, generate prospective-client lists, and develop clientele through networking and marketing.
• Work with the office manager to develop marketing strategies to attract customers.
• Perform administrative tasks, handle policy renewals, and contact underwriting to complete policies.
• Assist with daily housekeeping routines.
• Complete continuing education courses as required to maintain an active license status with TDI.
